Jeannine M. Coyne
AASECT Certified Sex Therapist
LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Most of us can benefit from having a trusted advisor as a partner. A seasoned expert to help navigate a challenging life passage, manage significant stress or reduce anxiety. For 30+ years Jeannine has dedicated herself to listening with great care and building a strong foundation of trust with her clients. Solid trust enables clients to allow themselves be seen and heard. Trust helps build the teamwork that is central to any strong therapeutic relationship. While her practice is broad in scope, Jeannine has developed a particular expertise in complex transitions/losses, relationship work, and anxiety.

Many clients come in when they are dealing with multiple life changes simultaneously. Perhaps you've received a medical diagnosis that will mean leaving a job. Or you may be the caregiver for a child and parent or grandparent. These multiple transitions can be taxing mentally and emotionally and require careful decision-making. Relationship work is her second area of specialty. This includes your relationship with self, your partner and others. The better you feel in your own skin, the greater your capacity for joy and satisfaction.

Couples frequently work on strengthening their intimacy and sexuality. They value working with a certified sex therapist. Jeannine strives to create a very safe environment which eases discussion of sensitive issues. She also deals with unique situations such as sex after a baby, an affair or sexual abuse. The third area of expertise is anxiety, particularly performance anxiety. Performance anxiety unchecked can impair productivity and slow decision-making. Mindfulness, such as meditation, combined with cognitive and behavioral strategies, optimizes success.

Jeannine strongly values each client as a whole person. This holistic philosophy stresses mind-body-spirit and underlies her work. Insight and cognitive behavioral techniques are blended with a deep understanding of couple and family systems. However, each individual and couple is unique. So, she tailors the approach to your specific needs and learning type.

Jeannine hope that this gives you some understanding of her values, experience and approach. She has had the privilege of working with countless individuals and couples, across a range of age, race, sexual orientation, and faith. All are welcome. Starting or resuming therapy does take courage. From her own personal experience, it also can be a catalyst to create a more empowered and exciting life. Therapy can help you grow immensely and, on occasion, transform your life.

If you are ready to make this personal commitment, or put your toes in the water, Jeannine would welcome your call for a complimentary consult.
