Living Through Grief - What is your Afterwards Journey?
Led by Patricia Obst, LCSW
Three Consecutive Wednesdays at 6:30 pm beginning April 24, 2024
On-Site and Zoom
None of us can leave this planet without experiencing loss. We all grieve in our own way on our own unique grief journey. You’ve come to this place because you've experienced a life-altering loss. Something has happened that has changed the trajectory of your life. The road ahead may seem confusing — riddled with sadness, heartache, and maybe even fear. You might wonder what comes next, what comes AFTERWARDS.
Each class in this series will be unique, interactive, and personal. Participants will be asked to share their questions, myths, and expectations on living through their grief. Pat will teach useful practices to help you navigate your own personal grief journey.
Patrica Obst, LCSW, has led grief lectures and workshops for professions and done many podcasts. Specializing in loss and grief, Pat has walked the grief journey with many clients and has experienced losses personally. This led her to create the Afterwards Journey, to help clients grieve, heal, and recreate their lives after loss.
You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the grieving process, how it affects our brains, our bodies, our relationships, and our future.
We can’t live life without experiencing loss. So, it’s best that we learn to navigate our grief journey well so that we can emerge on the other side of our loss with healing and hope.
Closure is a myth. What helps us heal is creating resolution around our grief in a way that enables us to recreate our lives after loss.

Relationships and Technology
Led by Vince DiPasquale
Three Consecutive Saturdays at 9:30 am beginning May 4, 2024
On-Site Only
Exploring how many times we choose our phones over the person sitting across from us or how to manage the desperate need of “me time,” not, “screen time?“ Vince DiPasquale talks about those moments of choice and how you can choose relationships first, even when technology is forever calling you.
Vince DiPasquale, M.A., noted lecturer and educator in the Tri-State area has been active in the field of addiction and pastoral counseling. He is also the founder of The Starting Point, Inc. of New Jersey and his friendly manner and down-to-earth lectures has assisted thousands in understanding that the power to institute change comes from within.
Relationships are about connections, feelings, giving oneself, and receiving from others. Acknowledging what is important in your life and setting priorities is the first step of managing technology.
Technology can be a tool in today’ s busy world, many of us are separated by geographic distance and technology may bridge that gap. Relationships are two-way communications and sometimes texting and email is quicker, but is it enhancing your relationships?
Positive ways of embracing the times and technology. Opportunities to learn new things, expand your world, but never to replace your relationships with self or others!
