Kim graduated from Rider University in 2021 with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (with distinction). At the same time, Kim received a graduate-level Certification in Life and Career Coaching. Kim welcomes clients from all walks of life. Her areas of clinical experience include working with diverse communities including, yet not limited to the BIPOC, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (Questioning), intersex, and asexual (LGTBQIA+) communities. The “+” is the understanding that there are many other terms (such as non-binary and pansexual) that people use to describe their experiences of their gender, sexuality, and physiological sex characteristics. Kim acknowledges and actively affirms all. In addition, she has clinical counseling experience in the areas of disordered eating and substance abuse (adults and adolescents). Attempting to meet clients where they are, Kim incorporates elements of these theoretical orientations:
- Person-centered Therapy
- The Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders®
- Mindfulness-Based Counseling
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing
- Existential Therapy
Kim’s goal is to support clients in creating and moving toward their life goals.
