LCADA – Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Cyndy Pappaterra brings over a decade of experience supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders and behavioral health challenges. She specializes in working with clients who recognize that their current path no longer serves them and are ready to realign their lives with their values and goals. Cyndy offers a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients can explore the roots of their behaviors and take actionable steps toward lasting change. Her person-centered approach emphasizes trust, emotional safety, and authentic connection as essential components of healing.
Cyndy holds a Master’s degree in Holistic Health from Georgian Court University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University, where she was awarded the prestigious Russell Conwell Fellowship. Drawing on her academic foundation and clinical training, Cyndy incorporates evidence-based modalities such as motivational interviewing, emotional regulation strategies, and values-based interventions.
Her dedication to recovery work is informed not only by professional expertise but by a lifelong understanding of how stigma impacts individuals and families. This awareness drives her mission to dismantle stigma and foster environments where people are seen for their potential rather than defined by their past. Cyndy’s work emphasizes that each person is more than their history, and that therapeutic progress begins with empathy, dignity, and hope.
In addition to her prior clinical work at The Recovery Village at Cooper, Cyndy has served as Drug and Alcohol Coordinator for Human Services of Burlington County, Addictions Counselor at Providence House of Catholic Charities, and Adjunct Professor at Camden County College. She holds multiple certifications, including Disaster Response Crisis Counselor, Gambling Addiction Counselor, Tobacco Treatment Specialist, Peer Recovery Specialist, Mental Health First Aid, and Pastoral Counseling.
Cyndy is a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Writing Center at the University of Pennsylvania, and serves on the President’s Advisory Council at Cranaleith Spiritual Center.
